Meet Debra Ann

End-of-Life Doula & Coach

Debra’s journey into end-of-life work began unexpectedly, sparked by a conversation with her cousin-in-law about her new calling in life. After attending an open house at a local funeral home, she met experienced end-of-life doulas whose stories revealed how deeply people need someone to be steady and present for them and their families during life’s final moments. That experience lit a spark she couldn’t ignore.
A few weeks later, she enrolled and received her End-of-Life Certification from IDLM (International Doula Life Movement - San Antonio, TX) 2025 and quickly felt she was exactly where she was meant to be. Surrounded by a powerful group of women committed to serving others with compassion and strength, she found both clarity and purpose. Early in her studies, she supported her first patient—an experience that confirmed this work was more than a path; it was a calling. Since then, the experience of walking alongside others during such a sacred time has profoundly reshaped how she lives her own life. She’s developed a deep appreciation for the simple things—quiet moments, shared laughter, and being fully present—and carries a daily awareness that we truly only have today. That truth drives her to live with intention and love. Debra’s mission is to help those at the end of life find peace and comfort, offering steady support and gentle guidance through the transition ahead. She also works closely with families, helping them understand that their loved one’s journey is deeply personal and uniquely their own. In every moment, she believes the greatest gifts we can offer are love, presence, and unwavering support.
